  • Free/Cheap CEU sites: Try these: Nuc Med Ed or e-rad-imaging
  • CA State License: What CEUs do I need for my California NMT License? You will need 5 hours in each category (NI, I, T & R) by your due date. Don't know your due date? Check HERE.
  • Is a post-primary CT license needed for those who didn't have CT with their initial training? According to AB2720 you need an ARRT(CT) to perform CT on a dual mode (hybrid) machine. Only those who went to X-ray school can perform an optimized CT scan on a stand-alone CT scanner in the state of California.
  • How do I get a CT license? A certified X-ray tech must sign you off on 125 CT scans from this list within 2 years AND complete 16 hours of RCEEM or RCEEM+ approved CT credits. You can either get your credits through approved sources like SNM -or- register for a week-long course like this one. You must then pass the CT boards through either ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) to practice.
  • In-house Ultratag Prep and USP{797}: Can I label RBC's using Ultratag in my department? Check HERE for the SNM guideline (Note: The protocol at your facility may differ).
  • CCK Alternatives: There has been national supply shortages of Sincalide from Bracco. Click HERE for alternative protocols suggested by NMTTP grads.
